Red-velvet cake

Red-velvet cake is a foreign type of cake with very soft and smooth texture with moist consistency. It is very rich and sweet cake. It is also known as a dessert cake and can be served alongside with tea or coffee as breakfast or dessert.

  1. Mix your dry ingredients together which includes flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt together in a bowl
  2. In another bowl mix your egg with sugar until smooth and creamy
  3. Add oil into the egg and sugar mixture little by little to be well incorporated
  4. Add the flour mixture in the wet mixture and mix together
  5. Finally add your butter milk in which your red colour has been mixed with. Add a teaspoon of vinegar and mix. Add any flavour of choice too
  6. Grease your pan with flour and butter to avoid the cake sticking to the pan
  7. Bake in a moderate heat oven for 15-20mins
