Palm oil rice

Native rice made with palm oil

  1. 1. Wash your rice and parboil it.

  2. 2. When your rice is half done, sieve and wash properly.

  3. 3. Add your palm oil into the pot and allow it heat up

  4. 4. Put your chopped onions, ginger(optional), thyme(for aroma) and fry for 5 minutes.

  5. 5. After 5 minutes, add water into the pot and put your crayfish, pepper, seasoning cubes and salt to taste.

  6. 6. Add your parboiled rice into the pot

  7. 7. Stir properly and add enough water to cool the rice. Taste for salt and add if necessary.

  8. 8. Close your pot properly and allow to dry.
  9. 9. Once the water is dry, stir it properly and bring it down. You can decide to garnish with dry fish or chopped meat.
