OKRA SOUP

Okra soup is a green pod fruit prepared in form of a soup which is a  local dish known and prepared by major tribes if not all tribes in nigeria and eaten with any swallow of your choice (either amala, Eba, fufu, semo, wheat, etc).

  1. 1. Cut your meat and ponmo to the size of your choice, chop 1 bulb of onion, cut the okra fruit into small bits,
  2. 2. After cutting, Wash thoroughly the meat and ponmo with salt and then rinse. Also wash thoroughly with salt your stock fish and dry fish and then rinse.
  3. 3. Then put the Beef and ponmo into a pot and season with your ½ TBS of pepper, knorr maggi , salt and onion and allow to boil for 10-15mins. Then pour out into a bowl with the stock water.
  4. 4. Pour 3½ bowl of water into the pot ,add 1 cooking spoon on palm oil into the water and boil for 10-15mins.
  5. 5. Then add ½ tablespoon and knorr maggi to the boiling oil , and your stock fish and dry fish into the oil and allow to boil for 10-15mins
  6. 6. Add 1 tbs of pepper(you don't want your soup to be too peppery),1½ tbs of crayfish, the chopped onion, to the boiling oil,Stock fish and dry fish and cook for 10-15mins.
  7. 7. Pour the meat and ponmo Stock into the boiling ingredients, and add your fresh fish into the already boiling ingredients and cook for 15mins (you don't want your fish scattering inside the soup)
  8. 8. Take out the fresh fish into a bowl to avoid it scattering inside the soup ,then add your chopped okra into the already cooking ingredients and cook and then stir. for 10mins .
  9. 9. Serve hot with any swallow of your choice.
