Nigerian Soya Milk

Soya Milk is a Nigerian drink that is loved by both old and young. It is a healthy nutritious drink that can be afforded by both poor and rich.

If you are the type who do not like buying local products because of the water used or the environment in which the drink is made then I recommend trying to make it by yourself at home.

You will enjoy the process and be rest assured that what you are drinking is healthy and nutritious. For those who have growing children then I recommend this drink especially a chilled one, it calms the body and aids growth since its nutritious. It is the best to give to your child when he or she just comes back from school or playing under the sun.

  1. 1. Get your soya beans ready
  2. 2. Pick out all the dirt
  3. 3. Soak overnight , make sure the water covers the beans- this is to make sure the beans gets very soft and easy to grind
  4. 4. Add ginger to the soaked beans a blend - for those who don't have a blender you can take it to those grinding pepper. Make sure they wash the machine well, you don't want to taste pepper in your drink
  5. 5. Add 5 litres of water to the grinded beans
  6. 6. Sieve the beans, make sure you get all the juice
  7. 7. Pour the sieved juice into a pot and place on a medium heat
  8. 8. Add Sugar, Evaporated milk and allow to cook for 30 minutes
  9. 9. Mix at intervals so it doesn't solidify nd scoop out the foam on top
  10. 10. Once its done, take off the heat and pour into a jug and refrigerate. Your drink is ready
