Beans porridge

Beans porridge is a Nigerian delicacy from the south west. It is made by boiling beans. It can be eaten alone or with pap, garri, bread

  1. Measure beans and remove the dirt

  2. Put water in a clean pot and place on fire. Then wash the beans
  3. Add the beans to the water on fire and slice onions into it

  4. Boil the beans until it is soft (it could take like 45minutes or more) it depends on the type of beans. Add salt to taste

  5. While the beans is boiling, blend the scotch bonnet pepper and onions to a smooth paste. Then check if the beans is soft. Add the blended pepper into the boiling beans and stir

  6. Allow to cook for 3minutes. Then add 1 seasoning cube and palm oil. Allow to cook for 15minutes
  7. Serve the beans alone or with Bread, pap, garrri
