BEANS

Beans is a body building classification of food, it gives us protein and a favourite because it can be paired with other foods. Beans can be eaten with bread, rice, plantain, yam and cassava flakes popularly called “garri” here in Nigeria.

  1. 1. Wash the Beans, pour in a pot, add enough water, slice onions (this is optional) then cover and allow to cook properly.

  2. 2. Wash your pepper then blend. You can either blend smoothly or roughly, depends on your preference. For Beans, I blend roughly.

  3. 3. When the Beans is cooked/soft, add the red oil and allow to cook for 10 mins so the red oil can integrate well into the cooking. You don't want to end up tasting red oil in your food so just allow it integrate well.

  4. 4. After the red oil has integrated into the cooking, add your blended pepper and cook for 5 minutes.

  5. 5. Add your crayfish, seasoning and salt to taste. Give it a good stir then cover and allow to cook for 2 minutes. The Beans is ready
