Bean cake (AKARA)

Bean cake is usually shaped into small, bite-sized pieces

  1. Soak beans and remove the husk
  2. Mill the beans wet using blender or hand
  3. Place beans paste in a mixing bowl
  4. Beat with a wooden spoon until the mixture is light and fluffy
  5. Add water gradually and continue mixing until dropping consistency is achieve
  6. Add the blended onion, pepper and salt to taste
  7. Beat again to incorporate more air
  8. Heat the oil
  9. Fry the mixture in spoonful in the hot oil till golden brown
  10. Remove from oil and enjoy!
