Colours! Colours!! Colours!!!

Colours in cake go a long way in showing the aesthetic appearance of a cake, but there are more than just the beauty to be behold, colours speak emotions and convey feelings as well as thoughts to the immediate audience.

Every colour palett has it language and a particular information in it. Bride’s and many celebrants have come to choose out of numerous colours ones that appeal to them and their special day. These colours can be worked into bridesmaid’s dress, celebrant’s cake, florals, bouquets, room decorations and even the bridal train.

In choosing colours for your wedding it’s good to know what they mean as well. I will quickly share few colours and their meaning, you can add yours under the comment section below.

White – Is the colour most often used in weddings it Symbolises purity, perfection, honesty and innocence. As well as it represents faith.

Black – Represents elegance, formality and power as well as boldness.

Green – Is the colour of hope and nature. It represents harmony, exuberance, fertility, freshness and growth.

Blue – Being the colour of the sky and the sea it represents loyalty, confidence, knowledge, honesty and protection in many religions.

Purple – Almost similar to Blue, Including the whole range from lilac to violet, symbolises humility, tolerance, royalty and knowledge. Almost similar to Blue.

Red – Without doubt stands for love, passion, optimism, desire, bravery, energy and courage.

Pink – This colour generates an ambience of harmony, tenderness, femininity and romance. Kind of ladies colour right?.

Yellow – It represents honour and loyalty and transmits Pure happiness and wellbeing.

Orange – It is associated with strength and resistance, along with confidence and vigour.

Gold – including Champaign Gold is associated with the sun, abundance and power. It symbolises wealth and strength.

Silver – Is the colour of the moon, generating harmony, sensitivity, independence and peace.
